Sending Greetings: A How-to Guide

1. Check our
Website . Facebook . Blogspot . 'Grapevine'
for the GATW schedule

...WARNING...
If you show up at JN everyday they'll eventually call the police

2. Get your winter gear, even if it's not that cold yet
...people know seh yu deh a farin so you'll need to look the part...
Yaad=Sun, Farin=Snow 'A jus so di ting set, yuzime'

3. Brush-up on all the NEW TALK
Show them that even though you're 'in farin' you still keep up with all things yaad
...Note-to-self: research SWAG, TUN UP, SHELLINGS...

4.  Walk with your own mirror and make sure you're Camera Ready (DO NOT ask the female member of the crew if she's doing make-up ... You've been warned!)

5. There might be a crowd waiting so bring snacks
(unless you happen to be at the 'Top Office' in Canada, they always put out a great spread)
christmas cake, cocktail patties, sorrel ....yum yum yum

6. Do not make yourself a script (we confiscate those)
...don't worry, we edit, so you can start over, and over, and over...!

7.  Avoid using any of these common Jamaican phrases
'All deez greetins comin from....'
(they can see you, it's okay)
'Big Up Str8'
(once is okay, after each name is less believable)
' (Merry Christmas) when it comes'
(by the time they see you, it already is)

8. But the most important thing
Remember to SMILE, you're on television!
(plus it stays on the internet forever)
